Pan-Pacific Ho’olaule’a

Friday, June 5, 2009
7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.
Kalakaua Avenue, from Lewers St. to Liliuokalani Ave.

Ho‘olaule‘a means ‘celebration’ in Hawaiian. The Pan-Pacific Ho‘olaule‘a is a diverse gathering of cultural exhibitions, from across the Pacific Rim that is not to be missed! Each year the Ho‘olaule‘a features a popular Headliner from Hawai‘i, usually unveiled just prior to the Festival. Past Headliners have included Brother Noland, Raiatea Helm, and Konishiki. This event is located throughout Waikiki, along Kalakaua Avenue, and is one of the largest outdoor multi-cultural exhibits of its kind in the state. Food vendors line the street along with multiple entertainment stages featuring cultural performances including Taiko drummers, Korean ethnic dancers, traditional Japanese performances, and hula.
